Capri Capital LLC was founded in 2009 by Shari Peterson. Shari was an experienced real estate investor active in many aspects of investing — flipping short sales, buy-and-hold rental properties, subject-to purchases, and lease-option tenants. Prior to 2009, title companies would allow the funds the End Buyer brought to closing be “passed through” and used by the Real Estate Investor to pay for the house the Investor was buying. That all changed in 2009. Title companies began requiring that the Investor brought their own funds to the table for a close that was going to be flipped. Suddenly, Shari needed to find funds to close her own deals. It was through that need that she decided to form a business offering to loan funds to other investors who also had that same need.
