8 Day Notice to Pay Rent

The 8-Day Notice is used instead of the 3-Day if the address on the eviction notice is a post office box and/or the tenant can’t deliver the rent personally and has to mail a check (landlord lives out of state.) If the 8-Day Notice is mailed instead of hand-delivered, an additional five days have to be added to the due date.
