Pets or no pets?

I own a dog and I would like to accept pets but I still would like to know your thoughts/experiences. Also, what deposit or monthly fee do you charge?

  1. Sixty-seven percent of U.S. households, or about 85 million families, own a pet, according to the 2019-2020 National Pet Owners Survey. We can’t afford to neglect 67% of the population because we are much more concerned with rent and the ability to pay.
You should screen the pets and check with your insurance company about the breeds that are not allowed.
In our application we even ask for a photo of the pet.
We don’t allow puppies and for cats, we change a higher non-refundable fee.

Add a pet addendum to your lease agreement and list all fees and your house rules.
We charge $300 nonrefundable deposit plus $50 per month pet fee per pet, $500 for cats.
